Every person we love teaches us something whether they meant to or not. In grief, it’s easy to focus only on what we lost. But when we pause and ask the question, “What did they teach me?”, something profound begins to happen.

This 2-hour virtual workshop invites you to reflect on the ways your loved one shaped your beliefs, behaviors, strengths, and even your struggles. Whether the lessons were beautiful or complicated, honoring what you’ve learned can open the door to healing, growth, and emotional completion.

This is where our coaching process begins. This is where you begin.

Why
It
Matters

Grief isn’t just about losing someone. It’s about making sense of what they meant to us and what they left with us. Most people don’t realize how much their person taught them, or how those lessons are still influencing how they think, love, parent, communicate, or shut down. In this workshop, you’ll begin to untangle those threads with grace, with honesty, and with support. And if you choose to continue coaching with us, this is the very first step we’ll return to again and again.

three bold, specific takeaways participants will receive

Participants will identify the lessons, patterns, and core beliefs inherited from their loved one, helping them recognize what they want to carry forward—and what they’re ready to let go.

A clearer understanding of how their loved one shaped who they are: both positively and painfully.

Serious Family

This is the same first step we use in our long-term coaching programs, offering a guided, values-based process that helps participants begin meaningful grief work with depth and clarity.

A foundational tool for emotional completion.

Grandchild Kissing Grandparent

By reflecting on what was taught (intentionally or not), participants begin to reclaim their power and rewrite the narrative transforming resentment or confusion into insight and emotional growth.

A deeper sense of gratitude even for complicated relationships.

Stanley Fisher

“And when she passed, my heart was broken but I also felt complete. That is what this work is about. Not perfection, but completion.”

In His Own Words

“Whether we realize it or not, the people we love are our first teachers. Even the painful ones. In our coaching, the very first thing I ask is:

What did they teach you?

Because when you know the answer to that, you’re no longer just grieving. You’re starting to integrate. You’re starting to understand who you’ve become, and why.

This workshop is a small moment, but it can spark a big shift. And you deserve that shift.”
