Joy In the Middle Of Grief

Grief and Groove is a heart-centered dance event that offers a new way to process grief through movement, music, a message, and community.
Created by Stanley Fisher during his own journey through loss, this event blends the healing power of house and EDM music with the need for emotional release and connection.

A Global Movement
We’re currently planning to expand Grief and Groove internationally, with upcoming events being explored in London and Berlin.
If we can go there, we can go anywhere healing is needed and that’s exactly our intention.
From hometown venues to global cities, we’re ready to travel wherever there’s a need for light, music, and community.

Meet Monkeyboy
Stanley Fisher began spinning records at 12 years old in Orlando, learning the craft the old‑school way studying music, saving for gear, and teaching himself how to blend records and move a room. By 19, he was spinning the radio mix show for XL 106.7 FM Orlando, then one of the highest‑rated Top 40 stations in U.S. history, while performing for crowds ranging from intimate gatherings to 30,000+, opening for major acts, working with Disney, Universal, and Wet ’n Wild, and headlining clubs and large‑scale events across Florida.
As the founder of No Unfinished Business, Stanley brings music into spaces where people need connection, release, and a night to move again. Grief and Groove was born from his own lived experience. His sets blend House, Tech House, Pop, Freestyle, EDM, Flashbacks, and soulful surprises designed to create energy, freedom, and presence on the dance floor.
In Your Own Words
I created Grief and Groove because when I was losing my mom, I realized there weren’t a lot of outlets for someone like me. I didn’t want to sit in a quiet room and talk about grief anymore I needed to move through it. Music has always given me a way to express how I feel, whether it’s a song that makes me cry or a beat that helps me release my anger or shake off the pain.
These days, I’m dancing more than ever. I love the new wave of EDM and house music that’s out there. It gives me energy. It connects me back to life. And now I want to take that energy and bring it to other people who are going through hard times, who need to feel something, who just need a night out where they don’t have to pretend they’re okay.
